Jakarta, February 7, 2009 – The Sharia Business Unit of BNI (BNI Syariah), in collaboration with MasterCard Worldwide, launched the Hasanah Card. The Hasanah Card is a credit card which offers its cardholders flexibility, accessibility and convenience in payment transactions worldwide.
BNI Syariah responded to Indonesian consumers’ demand for globally accessible sharia-based banking products and services by issuing the Hasanah Card. “The product is launched as part of our commitment to provide banking products and services which meet both consumers’ modern lifestyle and the sharia principle,” said BNI President Director, Gatot M Suwondo during BNI Hasanah Card’s launch in Jakarta, on the sidelines of the Sharia Economic Festival 2009. BNI Syariah released three BNI Hasanah Card varieties, namely Classic, Gold, and Platinum; each provide features such as smart spending, cash advance, danaplus,sharia-based PerisaiPlus insurance, transfer balance, executive lounges, merchant discounts, and ATM services.
“We are convinced the new card will attract for every consumers’ who desire convenient, equitable, and modern banking services,” Gatot added. The launch makes BNI the only state-run bank to own a sharia-based financing card.
