Janewattananond: The Runner Up’s Curiosity

Jakarta, 11 December 2019 --- The ACHIEVEMENT of Atiwit Jazz Janewattananond at the BNI Indonesian Masters is indeed not yet climaxed. The highest, Thai golfer was runner-up in 2018. No doubt he was curious to complete his progress in 2019.

"The strategy is not different from last year. Hopefully we can compete again with Poom Saksansin to fight for the title," Janewattananond said at a press conference at Royale Jakarta Golf Club on Wednesday (11/12). When a runner up, Janewattananond total notched 271 blows or 17-under. While Saksansin, who also came from Thailand, recorded a 20-under 268 hits.

The capital pocketed by Janewattananond is quite qualified. It is noted, since 8 December 2019 he was ranked 52 in the world (Official World Golf Ranking). That also makes his confidence boosted. The results were inseparable from Janewattananond's efforts this year. Among them won at the Singapore Open and get points from the Asian Tour.

On the world stage he even twice cut through, including when he was ranked 14th in the Open Championship that entered the PGA Tour. He also penetrated the top 10 orders of merit Asia. "Last year I did not enter the order of merit, but I was able to be runner up. Hopefully this year can be better". The problem now is that the power of golfers who take part is also better. Just call it Rory Hie. The Indonesian golfer now holds the Asian Tour title after winning in India in the Classic Golf and Country Club International Championship, September 2019.

Threat also comes from John Catlin. The US golfer who is in 192th position in the world also claimed to have prepared neatly. Even called the Royale Jakarta Golf Club arena as his second home. "Last year strong winds became an obstacle. This year it could be rain. But hopefully I can be consistent and good in the green area," said Catlin.
