BNI Hi Movers Encourage Communities to Bring Spirit

Jakarta, 8 April 2020 --- Everyone now needs a solution in the midst of difficult situations that come in a barrage. Beginning with the Corona Virus Disease (COVID -19) outbreak which turned into a global disaster, then hit the economy because each person's productive activities were reduced in order to suppress the spread acceleration of the virus.

This situation is felt so hard by daily workers, such as online motorcycle and taxi drivers, because of declining sources of income. This outbreak also becomes a severe test for medical personnel who at all times desperately need protection from this deadly virus.

BNI employees or commonly called BNI Hi-Movers are together rallying #AntarkanSemangat program. Through the #AntarkanSemangat program, BNI Hi-Movers encourage fellow employees and communities to bring spirit to donate for those in need in the form of medical devices, staple food, or whatever to use delivery services.

BNI Hi-Movers will share their donation activities with the hashtag #AntarkanSemangat and invite at least two of their friends through social media.

"The Antarkan Semangat donation program, in addition to helping online taxi and motorcycle drivers as delivery service, donation can be channeled while continuing Physical Distancing," said the Treasury and International Director of BNI, Putrama Wahju Setyawan in Jakarta, Wednesday (8 April 2020).

Putrama added, this program also in line with the World Health Day, where today, BNI employees have delivered PPEs, hand sanitizers, and masks to hospitals in Jakarta. This program allows the public to think more positively in facing the current situation and also contributes to economic turnaround through massive actions.

At least, since early March 2020, BNI together with several SOEs distributed 200,000 masks to Indonesian Migrant Workers and Indonesian Citizens through BNI overseas branches in Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Tokyo, London, and New York.

BNI has also prepared and gradually distributed around 30,000 health PPEs to be distributed to 182 hospitals throughout Indonesia as an important protective device for health workers who are at the forefront in handling COVID-19.

BNI also provided maximum and comprehensive supports to various elements of society in public hospitals by supplying 5,000 liters hand sanitizer, 10,000 medical gloves, three ambulances, 200,000 masks and a number of hand washing facilities for the public.
