Emerald BNI customers grew 12% supported by Wealth Management services

Jakarta, 2 January 2021 -- Throughout 2020, the Asset Under Management (AUM) for Wealth customers at BNI experienced growth to reach Rp 154 trillion as of 24 December 2020. This number grew by 12% compared to the same period in 2019.

In Jakarta, Saturday (2 January 2021), BNI’s Consumer Business Director, Corina Leyla Karnalies said that the largest increase occurred in Mutual Fund AUM which grew 37%, followed by AUM Bonds rose 15%, and TPF grew 10%. This composition is inseparable from the impact of interest rate adjustment.
"The interest rate adjustment also provides a more diverse choice for BNI Emerald customers in investing. The trend shows that customers tend to diversify their assets by buying government bonds and mutual funds," said Corina.

Corina also said, during 2020 BNI has been actively offering Government bonds, both Retail Bonds which can be purchased through BNI Mobile Banking and BNI Internet Banking applications, as well as Government Bonds (SUN) through an auction held by the Indonesian Ministry of Finance every Tuesday. It was recorded that throughout 2020, BNI managed to market Rp 5.27 trillion in Government Retail Bond.

"On the other hand, fee-based income from BNI Emerald customer transactions has grown by 17.5% compared to 2019's achievement. The number of BNI Emerald customers has increased by 12% year on year to 92,097 customers as of December 24," said Corina.

Convenience of Being BNI Emerald Customer

Corina added, all of these achievements are also supported by the privileges given to BNI Emerald customers which are always adjusted to the conditions and needs of customers, especially during this pandemic. These privileges include, for example, free disinfectant spraying services for priority customers' homes, providing free swab test services, to Passport Sameday Service directly at the BNI Emerald Lounge.

"BNI is the first bank to support the Passport Sameday Service with the support of the Directorate General of Immigration. The process is very fast because all customers who register immediately get a schedule from the Relationship Manager. Customers can also arrange their arrival according to the appointed hours and do not violate health protocols." she said.

In 2021, BNI Emerald continues to focus on developing the wealth management business by launching attractive programs such as Emerald Get Emerald and Family Get Emerald programs that provide rewards of up to IDR 5 million for customers who refer 1 Private Banking customer. New customers will get free credit card and welcome rewards program of up to IDR 10 million.
