Supporting Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology, BNI Techship Provides Flexibility for Independent Internships to "Work From Anywhere"

Jakarta, 3 September 2021 -- This webinar is special. Today is the first time that the participants of the Information Technology Internship (Techship) program or the information technology internship program, are present virtually at PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI.

BNI is trusted to be the place for Techship implementation because it has strong digital services. This Internship Program was initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdikbud Ristek) of the Republic of Indonesia through the Independent Internship Program.

These 50 Internship students attended the Merdeka Campus Webinar Series: National Onboarding Internship 2021 which was broadcast via BNI Corpu Youtube on Friday (3 September 2021). The students came from 27 State Universities and Private Universities from all over Indonesia, to join the BNI Techship Program.

In addition to the interns, the Director General of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research, and Technology, Nizam, Secretary of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Paristiyanti Nurwardani, and the Director of Institutional Relations of BNI, Sis Apik Wijayanto also attended this Webinar. The speakers in the event were the Director of Human Capital and Compliance, Bob Tyasika Ananta, and the Director of Learning and Student Affairs of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Aris Junaidi.
“BNI is focused on continuing to transform in every effort to build the country through Technology and Innovation. This is in accordance with the theme that was raised on the 75th anniversary of BNI, namely #Lompat TinggiTinggi," said Sis Apik in his speech.

BNI's Information Technology is built on elements of IT Strategy and Architecture Solution Delivery, Service Operation, and Infrastructure Security. BNI provides opportunities for students from all over Indonesia to learn and develop themselves by being directly involved in IT development projects in BNI.

The BNI Techship Internship Program is conducted by “remote-collaboration” and utilizes “cloud-based sandboxing”, to provide convenience and flexibility for internships that can be done by WFA (Work from Anywhere). At the end of the internship period, participants will also be given certificates for their expertise and real case projects. During the internship, students are guided directly by IT bootcamps, technology partners, and IT experts at BNI "BNI hopes that students who have joined the Techship Program in the future can be involved in running real IT projects starting from initiation, controlling, monitoring," said Bob Tyasika Ananta.

Students who have the opportunity to be accepted into IT Thematic Internship at BNI, will get a transfer of 20 Semester Credit Units (SKS). This internship will be of 5 months duration, starting on 1 September 2021 and ending on 28 February 2022.
The flexibility of internship learning is adjusted to the needs of IT project plans at BNI. Through cloud-based sandboxing, students get convenience in delivering the results of the work that has been done during the internship. Interns will get Mentorship by experts.
