Jakarta, 3 April 2022 -- PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero), Tbk. or BNI (stock code : BBNI) continues to strengthen the institutional ecosystem to increase the ratio of low-cost funds or Current Account Saving Accounts (CASA) to support more competitive financing during this year's national economic recovery. As the only Bank that has earned the nickname Campus Bank in Indonesia, BNI encourages the expansion of the Campus Financial Ecosystem program.

As of the end of 2021, third party funds collected from universities and educational institutions reached Rp12.01 trillion, the majority of which came from CASA. These funds continue to increase in line with the expansion of BNI's programs, acquiring several campuses in Java and Bali to be included in the Campus Financial Ecosystem program.

The Campus Financial Ecosystem is a program that BNI will focus on in providing complete digital-based financial solutions to university institutional customers and the campus academic community.

BNI's Director of Institutional Relations, Sis Apik Wijayanto said that the company has a very long cooperation with many universities in Indonesia. This close collaboration has even earned BNI the nickname as the Campus Bank. The nickname is familiar to all of us that we still have a strong memory that the place for paying student tuition at BNI is the Indonesian Student Credit (KMI) section at BNI.

So far, the company's educational service coverage has reached 718 educational institutions. In general, the company takes a role in providing transaction solutions for paying tuition fees to university cash management, thus providing an opportunity for BNI to increase public funds, especially CASA.

"Of course we will continue to strengthen the Campus Financial Ecosystem. This is also one of our programs to increase TPF, especially CASA while forming an institutional ecosystem based on digital solutions that help universities and the academic community," he said.

Sis Apik said that so far (BNI) has reached several universities such as UI, ITB, and finally UNUD. BNI has also collaborated for the Implementation of Computer-based Written Examinations for Higher Education Entrance Test institutions that are registered of up to 125 campuses.

BNI has also collaborated in the case of New Student Admissions in the National Academic Achievement Selection Path for State Islamic Religious Universities. In addition, BNI has several programs such as customized digital Banking transaction services by implementing closed loop transactions in the campus environment, which can be utilized by the entire academic community at each university.

"We also continue to look for potential for the distribution of BNI Flexion for Postgraduate Student Education for S2/S3, Certified Internships, Early Recruitment Programs and MSME Empowerment of University Fostered Partners through the BNI Edupreneur Program," he added.
