PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI in collaboration with the Yogyakarta Special Region Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) forum officiated 15 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) to support the Free Nutritious Meal Program.
Taking place in the Breksi Cliff Area, Sambirejo Village, Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta, Tuesday (20/5/2025), this strategic cooperation was initiated in order to realize food security as well as village economic equality.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said BNI's presence in supporting the government's priority programs involves a number of parties in order to achieve goals effectively and efficiently.
“BNI takes an important role in realizing President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita, one of which is through the Free Nutritious Meal program and food security, this step is a tangible manifestation of our presence as an agent of development as well as an innovative banking service provider,” Okki said in a press release.
This initiative is in line with President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita, especially in strengthening the development of human resources (HR) through nutritious feeding for children, pregnant and lactating mothers, as well as emphasizing development from villages for economic equality, reducing poverty and improving people's welfare.
Chairman of the DIY BUMDes Forum Raden Agus Choliq said, this launching activity was the first synergy carried out with BNI in providing assistance and education on financial literacy and operational management in the process of supporting the Free Nutritious Meal program.
“We synergize with BNI regarding operational and financial support for the SPPG business ecosystem of BUMDes and BUM Desa Bersama partners through BNI digital financial products and services. We thank BNI for their contribution to make this program a reality,” Agus said.
He added, this activity is also a manifestation of the empowerment of BUM Desa and BUM Desa Bersama LKD in contributing and taking an important role for the Free Nutritious Meal program. BUMDes and BUM Desa Bersama LKD that have strong financial strength, take a role by building SPPGs while for BUM Desa and BUM Desa Bersama that do not have strong financial capabilities, take a role as suppliers of SPPGs built by BUM Desa.
"Later, in terms of food supply management, a Cooperative business entity will be formed to manage the supply conditions so that it runs smoothly. In addition to the flow of goods, the flow of money will also be managed well to ensure transparency and accountability," explained Agus.
The synergy is not limited to the Nutritious Meal Program, but also the empowerment of BUMDes and BUM Desa Bersama LKD business potential under the BNI Dedikasi Program. BNI Dedikasi Program focuses on empowering the village's superior economic ecosystem with BUM Desa as the orchestrator in optimizing the potential of the Village's superior products and services.
Through BNI Dedikasi, BUM Desa not only receives financing such as Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) and BNI Wirausaha (BWU), but also training and mentoring to increase business capacity. BUM Desa is ready to be accelerated to optimize and develop the rural economy, thus playing a role in contributing to Village Original Revenue which can be a key factor in rural economic equality.
