(21/10/2025) - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI once again has shown its role as a strategic partner of the government in promoting inclusive economic growth. Through the Mass Agreement program for 800,000 MSME debtors (KUR, PMI, KPP) and Job Creation, BNI has contributed to the success of national activities held simultaneously in 38 provinces throughout Indonesia.
The main event, held at the Dyandra Convention Center in Surabaya, was attended by a number of high-ranking state officials, including Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Maman Abdurrahman, and Minister of Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection (P2MI) Mukhtarudin. Also in attendance were East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa, regional heads, and representatives from Himbara, including BNI Institutional Banking Director Eko Setyo Nugroho.
Coordinating Minister Airlangga said that this program symbolizes the strong synergy between the government, banks, and the community in expanding access to productive financing in all regions.
“Meanwhile, the KUR program and other productive credit programs are important pillars in maintaining national economic resilience. With cross-sector cooperation, I am confident that this program can advance productive businesses in the future,” said Airlangga.
Minister of Manpower Mukhtarudin added that the Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) KUR Program is an important step to ensure that migrant workers receive proper financing and do not get caught up in informal loans.
“Today's agreement is a tangible manifestation of the state's presence in empowering migrant workers so that they can leave to work with lighter and more sustainable financing,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Maman Abdurrahman emphasized the importance of the MSME sector in creating new jobs and strengthening the economic resilience of the community.
“Every micro, small, and medium enterprise is capable of absorbing an average of two to three new workers. Economic growth can be driven by the spirit of independence that comes from MSMEs,” he said.
East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa also expressed her appreciation for Surabaya's appointment as the center of this national event.
“This mass agreement signing ceremony is a momentum to open up more new jobs and boost the people's economic spirit in the first year of the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka,” said Khofifah.
BNI Promotes Productive Financing Access
BNI Institutional Banking Director Eko Setyo Nugroho explained that this activity is part of BNI's commitment to expanding access to financing for micro, small, and medium enterprises throughout Indonesia.
“Through this mass agreement signing event, we want to provide easy and quick access to loans so that the people will be more empowered and the regional economy will continue to grow,” said Eko.
In Surabaya, 404 BNI debtors were among 2,250 debtors who participated in the mass agreement, covering various financing schemes such as micro KUR, small KUR, PMI KUR, and Housing Program Credit (KPP). The beneficiaries came from the agriculture, trade, and productive services sectors in East Java and surrounding areas
In addition to Surabaya, BNI also coordinated mass agreements at two other locations, namely the North Kalimantan Governor's Office Hall and the Pogombo Building in Central Sulawesi, involving hundreds of debtors from various local economic sectors.
Eko added that this step is in line with BNI's role as a distributor of KUR and government credit programs oriented towards empowering the people's economy.
"BNI will continue to be present as a government partner in strengthening the national economic structure through concrete support for the productive sector and sustainable financing," he emphasized.
Through participation in this program, BNI hopes to accelerate economic equality, encourage the growth of new MSMEs, and create more jobs in the regions.
By expanding access to inclusive finance and productive financing, BNI affirms its commitment to continue being the driving force behind a strong, independent, and sustainable national economic development.
