BNI Xpora Strengthens Gorontalo MSMEs' Capacity to Upgrade and Penetrate Export Markets

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI continues to expand its contribution in encouraging export-oriented Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through the BNI Xpora program. One of its latest efforts is training and mentoring the Gorontalo Export Community (KEG) which took place at Roemah Marly, Gorontalo.

BNI Commercial Banking Director Muhammad Iqbal said the program was designed to strengthen the capacity of business actors in understanding international regulations and requirements, so that MSME products can be accepted in more global markets.

“BNI continues to strengthen its focus on export development as a key strategy to help MSMEs upgrade through training, mentoring, and export-oriented financing support,” said Iqbal in a written statement.

During the event, BNI Xpora provided a number of important materials, ranging from market intelligence, global marketing strategies, introduction to the Xpora program, to understanding export regulations. The training aimed to provide practical knowledge on product readiness in accordance with international standards and the right market penetration strategies for each commodity.

Collaboration with the Gorontalo Export Community (KEG) is an important element of this activity. KEG has been acting as a forum for the development of export-based MSMEs, including improving product quality and business management. Several members of the community have also successfully passed the curation process and participated in an international exhibition in Tokyo on September 23–25, 2025, demonstrating the great potential of Gorontalo MSMEs to penetrate the global market.

Through ongoing training and mentoring, BNI considers this program a strategic step to strengthen the competitiveness of Gorontalo MSMEs so that they become more productive and able to expand their markets internationally.

This initiative is also in line with BNI's commitment to driving regional economic growth by strengthening business capacity, expanding access to financing, and developing global marketing networks. With the Xpora ecosystem continuing to be strengthened, BNI hopes that MSMEs will not only increase their export volume, but also be able to survive and grow sustainably in the global market.
