BNI launches co-brand debit card to attract millennials

Jakarta, March 2, 2019 --- PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) and PT Citilink Indonesia today announced the signing of a co-brand debit card cooperation agreement to introduce the “BNI Citilink Debit Card”. The collaboration is a form of cooperation between the two state-owned enterprises that aims to attract the millennial segment, especially young travelers, with various benefits and special features.

“Through the cooperation, we hope to grab or acquire customers in the millennial segment, especially young travelers, with various benefits that we provide. BNI also hopes the card can educate the millennial generation on financial and transactional management, as it allows for the opening of a BNI savings account and transactions using the debit card and e-Banking BNI,” BNI Banking Retail director Tambok P. Setyawati said after signing the cooperation agreement documents for the co-brand BNI Citilink Debit Card in Jakarta on March 2.

Citilink Indonesia finance director Esther Siahaan shared a similar opinion, saying that the agreement with BNI was a new service that was expected to smoothen the transaction process for millennials. “We hope the co-brand BNI Citilink Debit Card will give a unique customer experience and improve customer satisfaction, especially with millennials, when flying with Citilink Indonesia,” she said during the event.

By owning the BNI Citilink Debit Card, BNI customers who are also Supergreen Citilink members will receive various benefits, such as up to a 25 percent ticket discount and 20 percent discount on pre-book meals. Ticket buyers can also get a 20 percent Green Zone discount, Rp 50,000 discount for Citisport member registration (all benefits are valid on official website citilink.co.id), 1,000 miles in welcome mileage and various promo programs.

The co-branding card uses the combo card concept, functioning as a BNI debit card and electronic money (BNI TapCash), thus easing the shopping transaction process in e-commerce, toll road payments and various modes of transportation. Look forward to the BNI Citilink Debit Card and enjoy its special benefits. Open a BNI account and use the debit card all the time.
