Proud of Made in Indonesia in the New Normal Era,  BNI Encourages MSME Partners to Go Online

Jakarta, 23 May 2020 --- PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (Persero) continues to move to support MSMEs in overcoming sluggish sales in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic with digital-based marketing. BNI encourages MSMEs to continue to improve business capacity and capability with Go Modern, Go Digital and Go Online as concrete steps to prepare themselves to face the New Normal in various aspects of life including in business.

As a tangible manifestation of supporting #BanggaBuatanIndonesia National Movement launched by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo on (15/5) at Istana Negara, BNI presents an e-Catalog to help promote MSME products throughout the country.

Through this e-Catalog, BNI wants to make it easy for people to shop online from home. By buying products from BNI-fostered MSMEs, the community has indirectly helped MSMEs to increase sales and participate in driving the national economy.

In welcoming the month of Ramadan and Lebaran, BNI presented E-Catalog of culinary products, fashion and accessories from MSME partners Rumah Kreatif BUMN and BNI People's Business Credit Debtors that have been curated from all over Indonesia. "We want to create convenience in the digital era by connecting prospective buyers and our fostered MSMEs during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is easy, you can simply order products from home through a list of MSME products in the e-catalog and orders will be delivered to the house. E-catalog can be accessed at the link https://bit.ly/ukmbni," conveyed the Corporate Secretary of BNI, Meiliana in Jakarta, Saturday (23 May 2020).

In Culinary e-Catalog, people can find a variety of Indonesian specialties, such as kembang goyang cake, dodol Betawi and Ceker Chips from Rumah Kreatif BUMN Bekasi, there are also Pare Chips and Shredded Tuna from Rumah Kreatif BUMN Banyuwangi. Also available are various processed culinary specialties of Padang, Bengkulu, Pontianak, Katingan, Banjar Baru, Ternate, Makassar, Tabalong and other cities.

As for BNI MSE’s Fashion and Accessories e-catalog, a variety of authentic Indonesian fashion products and accessories can be found that are suitable to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with family at home. Ranging from handbags, leather wallets, glasses, shoes, kebaya, batik, fashion weaving, leather jackets, veils, necklaces, bracelets, various beautiful sandals, to t-shirts and others.

"In addition to helping in marketing MSME products, we also want to bring the typical happiness of hometown amidst the government's suggestion not to go home by ordering Indonesian special products from home through this e-catalog,” said Meiliana.

Until now, BNI has fostered 44 RKB in Indonesia with thousands of MSMEs who have participated in training and business development in Rumah Kreatif BUMN with the aim of encouraging MSMEs to Grade. BNI also actively supports SME financing with KUR program and brings Indonesian SMEs to national and international exhibitions.

In addition, in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic, BNI actively channels a nine-staple food (groceries) program as a form of support for impacting families through the Agen46 network spread throughout Indonesia. Majority of LAKUPANDAI BNI Agents (Agen46) are small-scale grocery store businessmen who are official BNI agents who use EDC machine technology to conduct transactions and help channel Small Business Credit programs so as to improve the family's economic level and contribute socially to the community.
