BNI Accelerates Digital Client Acquisition

Jakarta, 10 September 2022 -- PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. or BNI (stock code: BBNI) continues to strengthen digital client acquisitions such as e-commerce and fintech to enrich products while increasing transaction convenience for customers.

As of June 2022, the number of BNI digital clients has reached 458 companies, up 70.3% from the same period last year as many as 269 companies. The ratio of digital clients is dominated by e-commerce 59.2%, while the rest are digital clients of financial technology or fintech. Some of these digital clients include Shopee Pay, Tokopedia, Bukalapak, Link Aja, Dana, Ovo, Commuter, Xendit and several other fintechs.

The number of transactions from this digital client has reached 347 million, up 58% from the same period last year of 219 million. The resulting fee-based value increased by 38% from the same period last year.

BNI Deputy President Director Adi Sulistyowati said that digital transformation had made a strong contribution both in terms of operations and profitability for BNI. The company is proactive in cooperating with digital partners which are expected to strengthen the capabilities of digital economy players, while providing better added value to customers.

“Of course, this excellent achievement will continue to be maintained and improved. BNI continues to strengthen its existence and digital capabilities through API services to become the main banking service channel for all Indonesian banking customers," she said.

Apart from digital client acquisition, Adi Sulistyowati, who is familiarly called Susi, said that BNI also has an attention and appreciation program given to customers. This makes many transaction needs can be better facilitated with various promo programs.

“These appropriate promo programs ultimately make this digital banking solution more attractive. Customers become more active in participating in various attractive offers that we have prepared so that they are attractive to digital clients and user customers," she said.
