Optimizing GATF, BNI Presents Weekend Banking

Jakarta, 11 December 2021 -- The holding of the Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair (GATF) has proven to increase public tourism interest, especially domestically. This is also believed to be strong in boosting the performance of the national economy, including MSMEs whose performance has improved very well since the second half of this year.

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero), Tbk or BNI (stock code: BBNI) as a banking partner, this travel exhibition presents attractive promos and programs including weekend banking to optimize public interest at the end of the year. BNI Weekend Banking Booth Special to support GATF 2021 opened at The Hall Mall 8th Floor of Senayan City, Jakarta starting 11 December 202.

It can be seen that all booths are busy serving travel consultations. Visitors don't want to miss the "Best Deal" program, Garuda Indonesia offers ticket discounts of up to 80% for flights from Jakarta to 11 domestic destinations from Medan up to Labuan Bajo.

BNI also provides Discounts or Cashback of up to Rp 1.75 million, 0% Installment for up to 12 months, Free Vouchers up to Rp 500 thousand with BNI Reward Points and other additional programs. All are provided for BNI Garuda Co-brand Card holders.

The Consumer Business Director of BNI, Corina Leyla Karnalies said the GATF Hybrid with BNI 2021 Event is a form of BNI's commitment to encouraging the National Tourism sector to recover and grow again after being affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic. She believes MSMEs will also get a lot of multiplier effects from increasing community mobility in this domestic tourism sector.

"MSMEs are included in the segment that BNI pays attention to during this pandemic. We hope that tourism MSMEs will again receive strong demand so that they will not only help recover but also begin to expand even more strongly in the future," she said.

BNI is the only partner of Garuda Indonesia, which publishes complete Co-Branding Card products, namely BNI Garuda Credit Card and Garuda BNI Debit Card.

BNI – Garuda Co-Brand Cardholders can enjoy 4x Miles conversion Bonus (including 2x Miles bonus feature for Garuda BNI Co-Brand Signature and Platinum Credit Card holders), 30,000 Miles Bonus and Auto Upgrade to Platinum Garuda Miles for Top Spender Garuda BNI Co-Brand Credit Cards during the GATF Hybrid period (Offline and Online) and also Gift e-voucher e-commerce up to Rp. 500 thousand with the Wheels of Fortune mechanism at the GarudaMiles Booth.

Weekend Banking at GATF

Corina said that another interesting thing presented at this exhibition was BNI's support for GATF 2021 in the form of opening weekend banking operations.

This operation allows opening an account or debit card from any type of account on weekends. This service is only valid at 1 outlet, namely at the BNI Weekend Banking outlet at Senayan City Mall.

Corina said that this BNI weekend banking is a banking service provided on Saturdays and Sundays, which in the future BNI will routinely present in several crowded places with visitors.

This outlet is an effort by the company to improve services and maintain customer convenience in having transactions and opening savings with outlet operating hours starting at 10.00 - 16.00 WIB.

"Meanwhile, this weekend banking service applies specifically to support the implementation of the GATF 2021 event and the BNI Senayan City Festive 2021 event during the period of 11 December 2021 to 09 January 2022," she concluded.

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Touched

When opening the GATF 2021, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno said the government was continuing to try to restore the tourism sector which was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This is both in terms of recovery of tourism industry players and demand for domestic tourists by strengthening purchasing power.

"We also continue to campaign the spirit of traveling in Indonesia to encourage domestic tourists to be motivated to choose their vacation destinations by visiting tourist destinations in Indonesia," said Sandiaga Uno.

Sandiaga Uno also appreciated the holding of the GATF 2021 travel exhibition which will support the movement of tourists so that they can encourage economic growth by involving the tourism industry such as travel agencies, hotels, and destination managers.

"Today I am very touched to see your enthusiasm, after a year and a half we have experienced a period of concern. Hopefully what we are doing will be able to support tourism, open up business opportunities and employment opportunities," he added.
