JAKARTA, 12 August 2022 -- PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. or BNI (stock code: BBNI) continues to strengthen the cashless society ecosystem in order to maximize the potential for economic recovery. This time, BNI collaborates with the Indomaret Group to develop a non-cash payment service with the Indonesian Standard Quick Response Code (QRIS) to provide convenience for the public.

BNI and Indomaret present non-cash payments using QRIS BNI Mobile Banking. This BNI super app will be able to be used to pay for groceries at any Indomaret store by simply showing the QRIS available on BNI Mobile Banking application to an Indomaret cashier.

Adi Sulistyowati, who is familiarly called Susi, said that Indomaret is the largest minimarket network in Indonesia with a large customer base and transactions. The company has a network of more than 20,000 outlets spread across Indonesia and has become one of the top markets selling the public’s needs in all segments.

BNI also hopes to help the public to make transactions faster and simpler with various digital channels, especially QRIS.

"This collaboration with our business partners is one of BNI's strategies in expanding the acceptance of cashless transactions with QRIS in Indonesia. Hopefully this collaboration can have a more positive impact on the community and BNI and Indomaret as service providers," she said

Susi said the company strongly supports the non-cash movement of Bank Indonesia. Therefore, BNI is proactive in inviting more Indonesians, especially customers from Sabang to Merauke.

"BNI itself already has the QRIS feature in BNI Mobile Banking which in the future will be able to increase transaction speed so that it is expected to increase transactions and public consumption," he said.

Along with technological advances, Marketing Director of PT Indomarco, Prismatama Darmawi Alie continued that cashless transactions provide many benefits for the community, including minimizing virus transmission through physical media (cash).

"We certainly welcome this invitation to cooperate with BNI. Of course, this step is also in accordance with Indomaret having an easy and economical tagline, we continue to improve the convenience of shopping at Indomaret from time to time," he said.
