Totality in Supporting MSMEs, 555 BNI Fostered Penetrates PaDi UMKM

Jakarta, Friday (30/09/2022) -- PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI (stock code: BBNI) as an agent of development continues to encourage the performance of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by opening wider market access.

In terms of support for the #BelaPengadaan and #BanggaBuatanIndonesia programs, BNI continues to actively participate in the SOE Ministry's platform, "PaDi UMKM" by preparing a market for fostered MSMEs so that they can digitally access the market to all SOE agencies.

A total of 555 MSMEs fostered by BNI (data as of 7 September 2022) have onboarded the PaDi MSME platform as sellers. The realization of BNI's purchase-procurement transactions on the PaDi UMKM platform was also quite high, amounting to Rp. 23.35 billion with a total transaction volume of 3,255.

BNI Institutional Banking Director Sis Apik Wijayanto hopes that this will have an impact on increasing transactions and sales volume on the MSME side as well as ease of purchasing-procurement on the SOE agency side while still prioritizing domestic MSMEs.

"Of course, the efforts to support MSMEs are one of our priorities as a state-owned bank. BNI is proactive in providing comprehensive product & service support, including expanding market access," he said.

Sis said, support for MSMEs is varied in terms of assistance and training, programs and events, financing, transaction facilities, remittances, digitization, market access, to partners in procurement.

He emphasized that BNI's MSME assistance program in line with President Joko Widodo's directives had also emphasized the need for the Acceleration of Domestic Product Improvement (P3DN) for micro, small and cooperative business products in order to make Bangga Buatan Indonesia National Movement successful. It is stated in Presidential Instruction No. 2 of 2022.

"We are proud to announce that until August 2022, BNI has realized domestic product expenditures of Rp 3.1 trillion or 74.1% of BNI's planned procurement of goods and services in 2022 of Rp 4.19 trillion with a Domestic Component Level of 70%," he added.

To accelerate the realization of Domestic Product, BNI has a strategy to encourage the absorption of spending to local MSMEs, utilize the MSME PaDi platform, and optimize product spending with local content components.

As a strategic partner, BNI encourages with a number of existing products/services for the advancement of MSMEs from upstream to downstream.

"It is interesting for us to look forward to a series of programs and other breakthroughs. Hopefully MSMEs as the backbone of the economy can continue to stand tall, full of pride and become Kings in their own country," concluded Sis. (*)
