BNI and Bumi Siak Pusako Collaborate to Provide Employee Retirement Solutions

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI is determined to always being available to provide financial solutions for workers in the country. One proof of its seriousness is through cooperation in providing post-employment compensation fund program services or pension funds for employees of PT Bumi Siak Pusako (BSP), Pekanbaru's Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) engaged in the oil and gas sector.

This partnership was marked by the signing of a cooperation agreement between PT Bumi Siak Pusako Director Iskandar and BNI Financial Institution Pension Fund (DPLK) Board Chairman Ikhwani Fauzana in Jakarta recently.

“This cooperation is proof of the trust of agencies and institutions in the country to BNI Group in providing financial solutions including managing employee pension funds. BNI DPLK's reach is projected to expand more thoroughly, assisting more workers in facing their old age,” said BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo in his official statement.

BNI DPLK has been managing pension funds from various agencies and companies since July 5, 1994. Currently BNI DPLK is the market leader in the DPLK industry with managed funds reaching IDR 32.38 trillion until September 2024 or controlling 22.97% market share.

BNI DPLK also has nearly 30 years of experience managing various investment packages by providing optimal returns. Its services are also additionally included e-channels to help customers make inquiries, simulations and transactions hence increasing participant loyalty.

BNI DPLK Board Chairman Ikhwani Fauzana shared that only 12% of the elderly population in Indonesia out of around 25 million people have prepared a retirement program. This shows that there is not an optimal understanding of the importance of a pension program for every employee. “Seeing these challenges, serious efforts are needed to deal with this condition and start planning for retirement in order to improve employee welfare,” he said.

Ikhwani urged people to be more serious in preparing for their old age. The earlier one participates in the pension program, the smaller the contribution paid but the larger the fund accumulated.
