Royke Tumilaar Creates Innovation Hub in Sarinah, the Birthplace of wondr by BNI

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk participated in the Sarinah Transformation by creating an Innovation Hub. One of the innovations born in that place is the Mobile Banking application wondr by BNI.

BNI built an Innovation Hub on one of the floors of the Sarinah Building in Jakarta. This place is a hub for innovation and unlimited collaboration, building a productive and innovative work culture.

More than 500 young generation employees, mostly Gen Z and millennials, have created a breakthrough in digital innovation that now facilitates banking transactions through Wondr by BNI.

BNI President Director Royke Tumilaar said that the Innovation Hub is real evidence of BNI's seriousness in implementing a comprehensive Digital Transformation.

"There are many young generations from our own country who work at BNI Innovation Hub Sarinah, they not only provide breakthrough product innovations, but also transform work culture, collaborating to create wondr by BNI," said Royke Tumilaar in a press release.

Innovation Hub in Sarinah Building Jakarta began its operations in September 2023. If you look inside, the nuance is not like a state-owned bank workspace but rather like a startup workspace. It is spacious, without partitions, collaborative, work can be done from anywhere not only on existing chairs and tables.

wondr by BNI is a BNI employee innovation launched on July 5, 2024. Currently, wondr by BNI has been downloaded by more than 5 million users with 2x more active users than BNI Mobile Banking.

Royke is optimistic that the Transformation Program that has been carried out since 2021, including the massive digital development this year, can create sustainable performance growth. BNI will continue to innovate through wondr by BNI, especially in targeting the active and dynamic youth market.

"Digital Platform development continues to be carried out as part of efforts to improve customer experience in supporting the growth of low-cost funds or CASA," Royke conveyed.
