The Cita Raya woven textile collection: HIKAYAT showcased in this fashion show is presented in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan. This collection is the result of a collaboration between Lomma and Cita Tenun Indonesia, along with four progressive modestwear fashion labels, namely IKYK, RiaMiranda Signature, and Kami, in the medium of woven textiles.
Lomma founder Dita Konar said that this collaboration is a meeting point between modestwear and weaving, which has not yet been widely explored. "As a creative space, Lomma wants to support the exploration of fashion as broadly as possible, which is why we are trying to collaborate two fashion concepts that already have their own communities: woven textiles and modest wear, so that the market for both can expand and brand owners can also create new innovations." The timing is also perfect, welcoming the month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1446H," said Dita.
Specifically, this collection uses authentic woven fabrics from local artisans nurtured by Cita Tenun Indonesia (CTI). The woven fabrics have a diversity of techniques, patterns, and color combinations, originating from various regions supported by CTI such as West Kalimantan, West Java, Bali, Central Java, South Sumatra, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, Southeast Sulawesi, and South Sulawesi.
The four fashion labels involved in this event bring their unique interpretations of woven fabrics in modest wear, presenting sub-themes that also reflect their respective design philosophies and aesthetics.
