BNI Partners with IKA ITS to Support the Progress of Higher Education in Indonesia

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI affirmed its commitment to supporting the development of the world of education through the extension of strategic cooperation with the Alumni Association of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (IKA ITS).

This agreement was marked by the signing of a cooperation agreement between BNI Division Head of Institutional Banking 2, Efrizal and Chairman of IKA ITS, Wiluyo Kusdwiharto who is also the Director of PLN. This event took place at the Grand Ballroom Menara BNI Pejompongan, Saturday (26/4).

Present at the event were Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman and ITS Chancellor Prof. Bambang Pramujati along with ITS staff and alumni.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said that the collaboration that has been ongoing since 2018 is focused on the issuance and management of the BNI-IKA ITS Co-Branding Membership Card (KTA).

"This card not only functions as an official identity for ITS alumni, but also has additional benefits as an ATM card that is directly connected to the member's account, and functions as a TapCash card for non-cash transactions," said Okki in a written statement.

IKA ITS is a forum for more than 125,000 ITS alumni spread across various sectors and regions, becoming a strong network in supporting the development of the alma mater and contributing to national development.

"The extension of this collaboration is real evidence of the synergy between BNI and the alumni organization in supporting financial inclusion and digital integration among university alumni," explained Okki.

In its implementation, BNI uses BNI Taplus savings products to support the issuance of IKA ITS Membership Cards which can be accessed through opening an account at a BNI branch or collectively. BNI loyal customers can also take advantage of this facility.

This year, BNI and IKA ITS are targeting the issuance of 6,000 cards for ITS students who will soon graduate.

Through this collaboration, BNI hopes to continue to play an active role in supporting the advancement of higher education in Indonesia, as well as strengthening connectivity between alumni through technology and integrated banking services.
