PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI, thru the BNI Berbagi program, is mobilizing emergency response assistance to help victims of the flash floods that have hit several areas in Bali and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
The disaster, which began on Tuesday night (9/9/2025), prompted BNI to focus its assistance on distributing essential goods that are urgently needed by the community.
The aid distributed covers a variety of urgent needs, such as clothing for women, men, and children, women's underwear, sanitary pads, instant food, drinking water, milk, and eggs.
Distribution will be prioritized in the most severely affected areas that have been declared disaster emergencies, such as Denpasar City, Badung Regency, Klungkung, Jembrana, Tabanan, Gianyar in Bali, and Nagekeo Regency in NTT.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo emphasized the bank's commitment to always be present in the community, especially during difficult times.
"All aid supplies are prepared for immediate distribution to the victims who are facing difficult situations due to disrupted access and limited daily necessities," said Okki in a written statement.
Okki explained that this effort is part of the company's Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program. BNI hopes this assistance can alleviate the burden on the victims and meet their urgent needs amidst the emergency situation.
"We hope this assistance can quickly alleviate the burden on our fellow citizens who are facing an emergency situation and need real support," Okki emphasized.
More than just material aid, BNI also hopes this initiative can provide moral support for the affected community to rise and recover from the flash flood disaster.
