In commemoration of World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) 2025, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) reaffirmed its commitment to preventing and eradicating corruption, as advocated by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
BNI Director of Human Capital & Compliance, Munadi Herlambang, emphasized that the company is fully committed to implementing good corporate governance (GCG). This consistency was proven by the company winning The Most Trusted Company award at the Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) Awards 2025.
The awards, organized by SWA Magazine in collaboration with Indonesia Independen Cipta Governansi (IICG), were announced on Tuesday (11/25/2025) in Jakarta.
At this year's CGPI event, BNI was named a Highly Trusted Company, reflecting the company's ability to implement modern and sustainable governance practices amid the dynamics of the banking industry. The award was received directly by Munadi Herlambang.
For BNI, this appreciation from the IICG is an important recognition of the company's commitment to strengthening a culture of integrity and clean and transparent governance.
This momentum was even more meaningful because it coincided with the commemoration of Hakordia 2025 and was in line with the national anti-corruption campaign that continues to be promoted by the KPK. This further emphasizes BNI's support for corruption prevention efforts and the strengthening of GCG principles across all lines of the organization.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo expressed his appreciation for the award.
“We are grateful to IICG and SWA Media Group for the title of The Most Trusted Companies. This achievement is proof that the governance transformation measures implemented by BNI have received positive recognition and motivate us to continue strengthening the implementation of GCG in the future,” he said in a written statement.
The IICG assessed that BNI's transformation has successfully strengthened the foundations of corporate governance through the development of digital business ecosystem solutions, increased global competitiveness, and comprehensive strengthening of risk and operational management. These efforts are an integral part of the company's strategy to maintain sustainable performance.
In addition, BNI continues to update its technology platform, improve business process efficiency, and expand its service proposition in the retail, commercial, wholesale, and global banking segments. This transformation is aimed at making BNI a banking institution with competitive service and governance standards at the international level.
Okki emphasized that BNI's transformation is not only focused on growth, but also on long-term sustainability.
“BNI is now transforming not only to pursue growth, but also to ensure sustainability, efficiency, and an improved customer experience,” he said.
The Company believes that strong and consistent implementation of GCG is key to maintaining stakeholder trust and ensuring healthy long-term growth. With this achievement, BNI has strengthened its position as one of the banks with the best governance in Indonesia and remains committed to improving its GCG standards in line with industry requirements and public expectations.
