BNI Supports Creative Industry, Timur Movie Watching Event Welcomed Enthusiastically by Audiences in Various Cities

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI affirms its commitment to supporting the development of the national creative economy through its support for Timur, the debut movie by director Iko Uwais, which will be released simultaneously in Indonesian cinemas starting December 18, 2025. This support will be manifested through a series of promotional activities in the form of meet and greets and group viewings in a number of major cities.

The series of events was held on December 13–14, 2025, in Surabaya, Semarang, and Bandung, and was enthusiastically received by the public. These events involved the Uwais Pictures production crew and the film's cast as part of an effort to bring the nation's work closer to the public ahead of its national release.

In Surabaya and Semarang, the movie watching event held on December 13, 2025, was attended by Raffi Ahmad, Jimmy Kobogau, Auffa Assegaf, and Yentonius Jerriel Ho. The high level of audience interest in these two cities reflects the public's enthusiasm for this action-drama film that promotes family and brotherhood values. In Semarang, BNI also set up a booth activation to enhance interaction with visitors.

Meanwhile, a similar event in Bandung on December 14, 2025, held at CGV 23 Paskal Shopping Center, was attended by Timur Executive Producers and Nagita Slavina. The presence of the producers and cast members was a special attraction for the audience in the City of Flowers.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said that BNI's support for Timur movie is part of the company's commitment to promoting the creative economy sector as a new source of growth, as well as a platform for developing young national talent.

“The film industry plays a strategic role in creating economic and social impact, from empowering local talent to strengthening the creative economy ecosystem. BNI supports Timur as a work of the nation that has the potential to provide added value and inspiration for the younger generation,” said Okki in a written statement.

From the creator's perspective, Timur Executive Producer Raffi Ahmad believes that this movie has a powerful story that is relevant to universal values and is supported by authentic production quality. “This movie conveys strong family and brotherhood values and is worth watching by the wider community,” he said.

A similar sentiment was expressed by another executive producer, Nagita Slavina, who said that Timur's creative process involved collaboration with highly motivated local talent. According to her, the positive response from the audience during the series of public watching event was a strong indicator that the movie was able to touch viewers' emotions while also entertaining them.

Audience responses in various cities also showed appreciation for the quality of Uwais Team's signature choreography and the emotional depth of the story.
