Homecoming With BNI by Train, Realizing the Dream of 2,000 Homecomers

Jakarta, 30 May 2019 --- Homecoming with BNI by using train is like fresh that is breathed in by homecomers on Lebaran Holidays 2019. Moreover, specifically in 2019, BNI truly embodied an increase in the number of homecoming seats by train to double, from 1,000 seats in 2018 to 2,000 in 2019.

BNI homecoming participants using Train are departed from Pasar Senen Station, Jakarta, headed to Solo, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya on 30 May 2019. Present in that event were the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, Budi Karya Sumadi, the Vice President Director of BNI, Herry Sidharta, the Consumer Business Director of BNI, Tambok P Setyawati, and the Deputi of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Junaidi Nasution.

The Mudik Bareng BNI 2019 program by train this time is expected to give blessing for its participants. Moreover, one of the participant groups in this homecoming is disabled who has more limited access to public transportation facilities.

Budi said, homecoming is a dreamed trip. Therefore, the effort of BNI and other SOEs in organizing Joint Homecoming with various modes of transportation should get appreciation, as it is a form of care to the surrounding environment, even to bring home the migrant workers.

"I hope this activity will increase. We pray for BNI's better performance. Homecomers children should not forget to start saving at BNI, because by saving, BNI is more likely to prosper," he said.

Homecoming by train is a part of Mudik Bareng BNI program which this year will bring more than 10,000 homecomers to their hometown. This is a mass program held by BNI to bring happiness to many families who are very dependent to public transportation to be able to celebrate Lebaran together on time.

On this occassion, Minister of Transportation and Board of Directors of BNI handed over travel snack package. The snack package contains snacks produced by MSME entrepreneurs who are active in SOEs Creative Home (RKB) fostered by BNI. This is a form of BNI's support to help open the market for MSME products

Plasticless Homecoming Campaign

In the homecoming program this year, homecomers are given tumblers so they will not have to use plastic drinking bottles. That aims to participate in reducing plastic trash.

On a previous occasion, BNI had repatriated Islamic Boarding School students from Balaraja, Banten to Solo, Central Java on Sunday, 26 May 2019. BNI also participated in the SOEs Homecoming this morning at Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta.

Homecoming using bus will also held again at East Parking, Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta on Saturday (1 June 2019). In closing the series of events, BNI will depart 250 homecomers using airplane from Soekarno Hatta Airport, Cengkareng, Tangerang, Banten on Sunday (2 June 2019).

Subsidiaries’ Support

BNI cooperates with subsidiaries in providing optimal services to homecomers, among others, by providing life protection from one of BNI's subsidiary companies, namely BNI Life. Mudik Bareng BNI 2019 will provide life insurance benefits during the departure period until 10 June 2019 with a maximum value of Rp 30 million. Thus, the participants going home this time do not need to prepare money to pay insurance premiums.

Meanwhile in the homecoming program this time BNI Asset Management provides loyalty programs for the existing customers by purchasing or topping up mutual funds, getting free homecoming tickets by train and plane. This is a form of BNI AM’s appreciation to its customers.
