Collaborating with SOEs Foundation, BNI Employees Held Social Action Against Covid–19

Jakarta, 15 June 2020 --- Various social actions to help the society affected by Covid-19 continue to flow from many parties. This time, the action was carried out jointly by all employees of PT Bank BNI Tbk. or commonly called BNI Hi-Movers by collecting donations set aside from part of their Religious Holiday Allowance (THR).

This fund is channeled to the State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Foundation - Hadir Untuk Negeri.

The Chairman of the Trade Unions and the Deputy Chairman of the Covid-19 Countermeasure Fund Management Team of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Irfan Ferdiansyah said, as a form of concern and countermeasure for Covid-10 outbreak in Indonesia, BNI together with all employees have raised funds to reduce the impact the spread of Covid-19 in the country.

"BNI and all employees and trade unions will hand over donations to the SOEs Foundation, Hadir Untuk Negeri, with the nominal value of Rp 10 billion, which will be used to procure medical equipment and supplies to be distributed to the provinces of Banten, DI Yogyakarta, North Sumatra and South Sulawesi," said Irfan, in the ceremony for the delivery of aid at Grha BNI Building, Jakarta, Monday (15 June 2020).

The handing over of this donation fund, said Irfan, is a manifestation of the spirit of collaboration between BNI, Ministry of SOEs and the SOEs Foundation, Hadir Untuk Negeri for the Country in the effort to suppress the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia.

"We hope this donation fund can be used as good as possible," he explained.

On the same occasion, the Chairman of the SOEs Foundation - Hadir Untuk Negeri, Harjawan Balanigrath said, later there will be another four regions which will be given assistance in the form of medical equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE) and rapid test equipment needed.

"For this assistance, of course we will try our best and be as transparent as possible in using the fund trusted to the SOEs Foundation to regions and residents in need," he said.

Furthermore, said Harjawan, later the fund channeled from this donation will be partly used to fund PCR mobile products made by Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ). At present, the product has been applied.

"The process of patient acceptance and simulation is already running, and the results will come out. We might try to apply this directly to the community. Thank you very much that BNI decided to finance the innovation of the nation," he said.
