Collaborating with E-Commerce dan Fintech to Retail Stores, TapCash's Acceptance Widen

Jakarta, 27 December 2020 -- PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) continues to be passionate about creating quality products and services for its customers who spread from Sabang to Merauke, especially in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The current condition encourages the public to increasingly maintain personal hygiene, one of which is by implementing cashless transactions.

BNI itself comes with BNI TapCash Card which can be used for non-cash transactions by anyone, including non-BNI customers. That was the explanation of BNI’s Consumer Business Director, Corina Leyla Karnalies in Jakarta earlier this week.

Corina explained, Bank Indonesia data stated that e-Commerce transactions rose to 140 million in August 2020 compared to last year's transactions of 80 million and August 2018, which was 40 million transactions. This shows that the trust of the Indonesian people to make transactions in e-Commerce is increasing.
"Seeing this, BNI is committed to collaborating with various e-commerce and financial technology to provide more convenience for customers. One of the forms of cooperation is the expansion of the TapCash top-up channel,” said Corina.

Starting in December 2019, BNI has collaborated with LinkAja to accept TapCash top-ups. To make it easier for TapCash users to top up, BNI is collaborating again in expanding top up acceptance in 4 (four) other major e-Commerce, namely Bukalapak, Blibli, Shopee and Tokopedia as well as financial technology such as GoPay to other banking partners, namely Jenius.

In addition to expanding acceptance of digital channels, BNI also continues to expand the acceptance of TapCash top ups at retail stores such as Indomaret, Alfamart, Alfamidi, Family Mart, Circle K to provide a variety of channel options and provide convenience for TapCash users.

"When viewed from December 2019 to November 2020, this expansion of collaboration with e-Commerce and Fintech has succeeded in increasing the number of TapCash top-up transactions and posting an increase in transaction volume of 278% and an increase in transactions of 197% year to date (ytd)," said Corina.

"As a token of our appreciation to TapCash users, we also continue to prepare various special promo programs for users. We will continue to support the Non-Cash National Movement (GNNT) by expanding sales, acceptance of top ups and shopping with TapCash," added Corina.
