Himbara Postpones ATM Link Fee Adjustment

Himbara Postpones ATM Link Fee Adjustment

Jakarta, 1 June 2021 -- The Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) and PT Jalin Payment Nusantara (Jalin) have agreed to reschedule the implementation of the adjustment of transaction fees for checking balances and cash withdrawals made at Red and White ATM machines or ATMs with an ATM Link display. Thus, the tariff adjustment, which was originally to be implemented on 1June 2021, has been postponed. This postponement is expected to increase socialization to the wider community.

Transactions Remain Free

Adi Sulistyowati reiterated that although the transaction rates at ATM Link will be adjusted later, Himbara customers can still enjoy free balance check and cash withdrawal services through ATMs with the same logo as the card issuer, for example, BNI ATM card owners are not charged the transaction fee if used at ATM Link BNI. Customers also have the option to check their balance for free through mobile banking services.
After the tariff change takes effect, BRI, BNI, Mandiri and BTN who join the ATM Link service ensure that transaction services at ATM Link will be better, with an extensive network to remote areas with the support of more than 45,000 ATMs as a manifestation of Himbara and Jalin's commitment to continue to accelerate financial inclusion and literacy.

"But it should be remembered that the new tariff adjustment for balance check and cash withdrawal rates remains lower than other ATM networks in Indonesia. Especially for customers who receive social assistance, balance checks and cash withdrawals at ATM Link will not be charged at all," said the Deputy President Director of BNI, Adi Sulistyowati in Jakarta, Tuesday (1 June 2021).

In addition to a wider reach, the adjustment of ATM Link transaction fees is expected to have a positive impact on improving service quality, security, and customer convenience in transactions. Himbara also invites customers to be able to transact non-cash (cashless) and perform various kinds of banking transactions digitally.
