Lively Smart City, BNI Offers Integrated Financial Solutions

Jakarta, 26 November 2021 -- Smart city is an innovative concept in overcoming various problems while improving the quality of people's lives. This concept is increasingly being used to develop urban areas where people need dynamic and fast-paced mobility in order to accelerate regional economic performance.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was attended by the Mayor of Surakarta, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the entire ranks of Surakarta City Muspida, the Assistant Governor of the Head of Payment System Policy Department of BI, Filian Ningsih Hendarta, the Head of BI Surakarta Representative, Nugroho Jaka Prastowo, all MURI colleagues, and BNI Directors, Friday (26/11/2021).

The Deputy President Director of BNI, Adi Sulistyowati conveyed the Smart City concept becomes one of the hot discussions in various international forums such as the G20 Forum for Digital Sector in August 2021. The Smart City concept has also begun to be noticed by investors, which can be seen from President Jokowi's success in securing investment commitments from several countries, including the G42 agreement.

"In order to support this smart city concept, we are committed to providing integrated solutions with the aim of increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of public services, as well as improving the welfare of citizens," she said. Adi Sulistyowati said the Company also presented the BNI Smart City program which comes with end-to-end solutions that can meet all ecosystems in Surakarta City and its surroundings which include Smart Government for the ecosystem of City Government, Regional Government, Smart Healthcare for health ecosystem, Smart Farming for agricultural ecosystem, fishery, plantation, forestry, Smart Education for education ecosystem, Smart MSMEs for MSME ecosystem, Smart Tourism for tourism ecosystem, and Smart Industrial Estate for industrial and bonded area ecosystems.

According to her, the BNI Smart City program is not only focuses on developing Ecosystems, but also supports the digitization program for the targeted Regency or City.

"As a pioneer in Digital Banking, BNI will also provide comprehensive banking services, which include Banking Services, Development of Electronic-Based Government Systems (SPBE) and Smart City, as well as Empowerment and Capacity Building for MSMEs," she added.

For information, solutions that BNI has been able to provide for City/Regency Governments include solutions for regional spending payments with BNI Direct, SP2D Online, and Virtual Account Debit, solutions for regional receipts with e-PBB, e-PDAM, e-Samsat, and e-Retribution.

The Company also has a BNI Market Place to assist City/Regency governments in promoting tourism and MSME products, as well as online marketing. There is also provision of electronic money such as BNI Tapcash and LinkAja for the community and local governments to increase non-cash transactions in support of a cashless society.
