BNI Strengthens Synergy with Unimed through Campus Financial Ecosystem program

Jakarta, Tuesday, 27 December 2022 -- PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. or BNI (stock code: BBNI) is again expanding its Campus Financial Ecosystem program by collaborating with Medan State University (Unimed). Through this program BNI is proactive in providing integrated digital-based financial solutions, which are in accordance with the needs of the Unimed Academic Community.

The Campus Financial Ecosystem Kick Off at Unimed was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Higher Education Financial Ecosystem on Tuesday (27 December 2022).

The signing was carried out by the Rector of Medan State University Prof. Dr. Syamsul Gultom, SKM, M.Kes. and BNI Institutional Banking Director Sis Apik Wijayanto, taking place at the Medan State University Rectorate Building, Medan, North Sumatra.

The MoU for the Higher Education Financial Ecosystem program is a form of BNI's support to Unimed, both in terms of financial and non-financial transactions such as financial system integration through the Cash Management System and a program to provide credit facilities without collateral for employees and lecturers called BNI Fleksi.

The program also includes BNI Fleksi education loan financing for S2 & S3 students, Affinity Credit Card issuance, internship programs for undergraduate students, teaching practitioner programs and support programs for Unimed-fostered MSMEs through BNI Edupreneur.

Sis Apik said BNI continues to digitize campuses and this time collaborates with Unimed to provide complete services for the entire academic community through the BNI Campus Financial Ecosystem program.

"We highly appreciate the collaboration of Campus Financial Ecosystem with Unimed. We will certainly be more proactive in providing integrated financial solutions based on digital and in accordance with the needs of the entire academic community, ranging from financial solutions for the Unimed Campus, lecturers or teaching staff, employee staff, students, even wider, up to the families of students and business people around the Unimed campus," he said.

Sis Apik said that the Campus Financial Ecosystem program is expected to help Unimed towards an integrated and digital-based cashless society in order to realize a more efficient and effective financial management of Unimed.

"Of course, with the Campus Financial Ecosystem Program which was signed today, it will be more comprehensive in providing financial and non-financial solutions and increasing the value of both parties," said Sis Apik.

Apart from Unimed, BNI has also collaborated with several universities such as the University of Indonesia, Bandung Institute of Technology, Unpad, UGM and Udayana University in the Campus Financial Ecosystem program. BNI has also worked together for the Implementation of Computer-based Written Test for the Higher Education Admission Test Institution which is registered on up to 125 campuses.

As the only bank that has the nickname Campus Bank in Indonesia, BNI is encouraging the expansion of the Campus Financial Ecosystem program. As of the end of 2021, third party funds collected from universities and educational institutions reached IDR 12.01 trillion, the majority of which came from CASA.

The fund continues to increase along with the expansion of BNI's programs to acquire several campuses in Java and Bali to be included in the Campus Financial Ecosystem program.
