Pos Indonesia and BNI Cooperate to Develop Services

Jakarta, February 11, 2016 - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI and PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) are developing complementary services for the public. The combination of services from the two companies will enrich existing services provided to customers of Pos Indonesia and BNI.

BNI President Director Achmad Baiquni and Pos Indonesia President Director Gilarsi W Setijono signed a memorandum of understanding at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, Jakarta, Thursday (February 11th 2016). The MoU was immediately followed by the signing of a cooperation agreement on BNI e-Collection service for MPOSPAY Account Top Up and Post Agent Deposit between BNI Institutional Relations & Transactional Banking Director Adi Sulityowati and PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Technology and Financial Services Director Indyruwani Asikin Natanegara.

Achmad Baiquni explained that the cooperation is a reflection of mutually beneficial and mutually supporting business development synergies between State Owned Enterprises. Through this cooperation, BNI banking services can be routed through tens of thousands POS agents throughout Indonesia. BNI also prepared a variety of facilities that can be utilized by POS agents.

Various banking services are ready to be distributed via POS include BNI Pensioners Credit (BKP) and remittances (BNI Remittance). Alternatively, POS agents may enjoy BNI services, such as credit assistance through Kredit Usaha Rakyat and Top Up Payments for Agencies.

BNI receives various benefits in the partnership, including delivery of goods via Pos Indonesia Cargo Services. BNI will also expand Pos agency to function as an extension of BNI branchless banking. The addition of this function to local Pos agents will aid in the distribution of government aid programs.
