PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI continues to prove its commitment to helping business people develop their businesses abroad. Through the diaspora loan, the owner of Bakso Rindu Kampung in Seoul, South Korea has succeeded in developing a culinary business with a typical Indonesian menu.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said BNI Seoul is the only Indonesian bank that has a full branch license in South Korea, allowing it to channel business capital loans to the Indonesian diaspora in the ginseng country.
“Through BNI's overseas office (KLN) in Seoul, we can provide credit facilities to support diaspora business growth in business focuses related to Indonesia,” Okki said in a written statement.
Culinary entrepreneur from Palembang, South Sumatra, Feriansyah has been running the Bakso Rindu Kampung business since 2011 with Indonesian specialties and is now one of the favorite culinary destinations in the Ittaewon area, Seoul City, South Korea.
Feriansyah, who has lived in South Korea since 2011, founded Bakso Rindu Kampung on November 17, 2020. With high experience and dedication in running a business, Feriansyah expanded his business by establishing Halo Indonesia Restaurant in Hongdae area in 2024 with support from BNI Seoul.
Last December, BNI provided a Diaspora Loan facility to Bakso Rindu Kampung to support working capital needs. The provision of this facility continues BNI's support which previously provided a Diaspora Loan facility in 2022.
Okki said BNI is committed to continuing to provide support to Indonesian diaspora businesses operating overseas, enabling them to develop businesses that not only benefit them personally, but also contribute to the Indonesian economy.
“BNI will continue to expand its network and provide adequate facilities to support Indonesia-Related Business in various regions of the world,” said Okki.
