PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI signed a cooperation agreement with PT General Electric Operation Indonesia through GE Healthcare (GEHC) for financing partners and vendors through BNIdirect Supply Chain.
The signing of the cooperation between GE Healthcare Indonesia and BNI carries the theme "Synergy of Healthcare Innovation & Financial Solution for a Better Future in Medical Services." The cooperation was signed by BNI Corporate Banking SEVP Pancaran Affendi and GEHC President Director Kriswanto Triemoeljo at Grha BNI, Jakarta, Tuesday (4/3/2025).
"BNI realizes that the healthcare industry has dynamic challenges, both influenced by global and domestic factors. This initiative is an important milestone that unites two main pillars—health and finance—in an effort to create innovative solutions to improve access to healthcare services, strengthen economic empowerment, and realize prosperity for the community," said Pancaran Affendi in a press release.
A total of three programs were agreed upon through this collaboration, including Project Financing, Distributor Financing, and financing of medical devices for the retail segment.
Pancaran explained, through Project Financing, BNI provides financing for medical equipment procurement projects and health infrastructure to GE Operation Indonesia clients. While Distributor Financing is in the form of working capital financing for GE Operation Indonesia distributors.
Furthermore, BNI also provides financing for the purchase of medical equipment by medical professionals, including doctors, through the GE Operation Indonesia official distributor.
"This collaboration is expected to open up new opportunities, encourage investment in the health sector, and provide the financial support needed for the development of modern health infrastructure and technology," Panca continued.
