PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI has made an achievement as the first Indonesian bank in Hong Kong to participate and win an award from the Investor and Financial Education Council (IFEC).
In the event titled Investor and Financial Education Award 2024, BNI Hong Kong won the Bronze Award as the bank with the best literacy program for Indonesian domestic workers there. The award was received directly by BNI Hong Kong General Manager Farid Faraitody at the Hong Kong Club Building, Friday (7/3/2025).
The award places BNI on par with other leading financial institutions, such as Hang Seng Bank, Bank of China, and Manulife (International) Limited.
"This award is an acknowledgment of BNI's seriousness as a global bank that is able to compete in the international market, by continuing to expand its service reach and improve the quality of products and innovations offered to customers," said BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo in a written statement.
Awards at this event are given to agencies and institutions that are considered to have made a positive contribution in providing financial and investment education for the people of Hong Kong.
Okki continued, BNI has a financial education initiative specifically designed for Indonesian domestic workers in Hong Kong. This program covers various important topics, such as fraud prevention and effective use of digital banking services.
"This award is a motivation for BNI Hong Kong to further improve and intensify financial education and literacy for the community, especially the Indonesian diaspora in preparing and planning their finances," said Okki.
