BNI Won Two OJK Awards for Financial Literacy Commitment

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, has received two prestigious awards from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for its contribution to promoting financial literacy and inclusion in Indonesia. BNI was recognized as a Financial Services Business Entity (PUJK) with the Most Massive OJK PEDULI (Literacy Ambassador Driver - Penggerak Duta Literasi) Program Formation, and as the Best KEJAR Implementation Partner for Religious-Based Education Units.

This award was presented as part of the Indonesian Savings Day activities and the peak of the 2025 Financial Literacy Month at the Dhanapala Building, Ministry of Finance, Jakarta, Friday (22/8/2025). The event was also attended by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Airlangga Hartarto, with the award presented directly by the Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners, Mahendra Siregar.

BNI Operations Director Ronny Venir stated that this award is concrete proof of BNI's seriousness in expanding access and equalizing financial education.

"Financial literacy is not just about knowledge, but also about building public confidence in managing their finances. This way, they can make wiser financial decisions," said Ronny in a written statement.

In line with the OJK's strategy, BNI is actively initiating the formation of Literacy Ambassadors in various operational regions. This program aims to provide direct education to the public, covering basic financial understanding, financial risks, and financial literacy based on religious education, such as in madrasas and Islamic Boarding Schools.

Ronny added that BNI is committed to continuing to be a strategic partner of the OJK in improving financial literacy among the public in an equitable and targeted manner.

"BNI is committed to being a strategic partner of the OJK in massively, evenly, and accurately increasing public financial literacy by expanding public understanding of healthy and safe finances," he said.

Thru these programs, BNI hopes to support the government's agenda in improving people's welfare and strengthening inclusive and sustainable national economic development.
