Alwi Farhan Wins Indonesia Masters 2026, Clear Evidence of National Athlete Coaching Regeneration

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI expressed its appreciation to Alwi Farhan for winning the men's singles title at the Indonesia Masters 2026 held at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on Sunday (25/1/2026).

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said that the victory reflects the outstanding results of the ongoing athlete coaching process by the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI), which has been consistently supported by BNI.

For more than five years as a partner of PBSI, BNI has consistently contributed to supporting the development and regeneration of athletes in various age groups, including strengthening the national training program, which is the foundation for the birth of world-class athletes.

Alwi Farhan's success in winning the Indonesia Masters 2026 title shows that the long-term training conducted by PBSI is effective and capable of producing young athletes with high competitiveness at the world level," Okki said in a written statement.

This victory also drew public attention to Alwi Farhan. His consistent performance throughout the tournament made him the talk of the town among netizens, especially Indonesian badminton fans.

Born in Surakarta on May 12, 2005, this badminton athlete has been pursuing his career since an early age and has collected a number of impressive achievements. At the age of 20, Alwi shows remarkable maturity in his game and great potential to compete at the elite level.

Playing in the men's singles sector, Alwi is known for his solid playing style, combining aggressiveness and calmness in setting the tempo. He has been actively participating in international tournaments since 2017 and won the YONEX Korea Junior Badminton Championships U-13 title.

In 2019, Alwi also won the BWF Junior International Grand Prix at the Jaya Raya Junior International U-15 event by defeating an athlete from India. One of his greatest achievements was winning the men's singles title at the 2023 BWF World Junior Championships, which became an important stepping stone to the senior level.
