BNI–Siemens Indonesia Collaborate on IDR300 Billion Financing, Strengthening the National Electricity Ecosystem

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI has established a strategic partnership with PT Siemens Indonesia in order to strengthen the national electricity and industrial ecosystem. Through this collaboration, BNI provides financing facilities for Siemens partners and distributors with a total credit limit of IDR300 billion.

The cooperation includes project financing and working capital financing aimed at supporting the smooth implementation of projects and maintaining the cash flow sustainability of Siemens' official distributors in Indonesia.

The cooperation agreement was signed through a Distributor Financing Corporate Agreement signed by BNI Corporate Banking 1 Division Head Andrean Palonggam and Siemens Indonesia Chief Financial Officer Yudy Liz Mawuntu in Jakarta recently.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said that this collaboration is in line with BNI's strategy to expand ecosystem-based financing, particularly for global corporations that play a strategic role in the development of the national electricity, technology, and manufacturing sectors.

“Through this partnership, BNI ensures structured and competitive financing support for Siemens Indonesia's partners and distributors, so that strategic projects can run optimally and sustainably,” Okki said in a written statement.

Through the Distributor Financing scheme, BNI provides financing based on actual transactions to Siemens distributors. This scheme is considered to have a more measurable risk profile because it is supported by long-term business relationships between principals and distributors, as well as clear project requirements.

Siemens Indonesia is a subsidiary of Siemens AG, a global technology company from Germany, which has been operating in Indonesia since 1973. The company is engaged in manufacturing and electronic technology and has been a BNI customer since 2018, with its operational base in East Jakarta and supported by around 500 employees.

During its operations in Indonesia, Siemens has served as a strategic partner in the development of the electricity and industrial sectors through electrification, automation, and digitalization solutions. These initiatives support energy transition and industrial transformation that is more efficient and sustainable.

Okki added that this type of ecosystem-based financing cooperation benefits all parties, including principals, distributors, and banks, as it encourages healthy and measurable business growth.

“BNI will continue to expand ecosystem financing to support strategic sectors such as energy, electronics, infrastructure, and manufacturing, while strengthening BNI's role as a key financial partner for national and global corporations,” he concluded.

With the IDR300 billion financing support, the collaboration between BNI and Siemens Indonesia is expected to accelerate the growth of the national electricity industry, encourage investment in strategic sectors, and expand business opportunities for partners and distributors in various regions of Indonesia.
