The positive results achieved by Indonesian athletes at the Singapore Open 2026 are a strong signal that the national badminton regeneration process is progressing positively. Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri's achievement in reaching the final, as well as Alwi Farhan's passage to the semifinals, highlighted the strong mix of older players and the future generation, making them more competitive at the world level.

This achievement also reflects the continued development efforts of PBSI and strategic partners, particularly PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI, to assist the growth of Indonesian badminton talent.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said that every international tournament is not only a platform for achieving success, but also an important part of the process of developing a champion mentality and increasing the competitiveness of Indonesian athletes on the global stage.

"Fajar/Fikri's success in reaching the final and Alwi Farhan's impressive performance in the semifinals demonstrate that the regeneration of Indonesian badminton athletes continues to move in a positive direction. "We hope the athletes can perform at their best, demonstrate their best fighting spirit, and continue Indonesia's tradition of badminton success at the global level. Supporting national sports is part of BNI's commitment to contributing to the development of a generation of champions who will make Indonesia proud," he emphasized.
