BNI Supports the MSI Arts Festival 2026, Encouraging the Creative Economy

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI supports the Mitra Seni Indonesia (MSI) Arts Festival & Bazaar 2026 as part of efforts to encourage cultural preservation while strengthening creative economic activities and micro, small, and medium enterprises.

The festival, themed "Indonesian Cultural Harmony," with the subtheme "Malay Rampak," takes place from July 21–23, 2026, at Graha Jalapuspita in South Jakarta. The event was opened by Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya, accompanied by MSI Chairperson Sari Ramdhani Basri and Chair of the MSI Supervisory Board Rochmadiati Sri Harmoko.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said the event provided a collaborative space for artists, communities, and MSMEs to introduce their work and expand market access.

“Culture is the identity of a nation that must be continuously preserved and developed. Through its support for the 2026 MSI Arts Festival & Bazaar, BNI hopes to create more opportunities for collaboration that bring together artists, communities, and SMEs,” Okki said in a written statement.

Based on his view, cultural preservation can also generate economic value if supported by the development of creative products, access to promotional opportunities, and collaboration among stakeholders.

The festival features a variety of activities, including panel discussions, fashion shows, traditional music and dance performances, an MSME bazaar, and educational activities for children.

The products on display include traditional Indonesian textiles, batik, kebaya, handicrafts, and culinary specialties. The bazaar provides an opportunity for MSME owners to introduce their products directly to the public and explore opportunities for collaboration.

The organizer projects that the festival will reach more than 50,000 people through various promotional channels, with approximately 1,000 to 1,500 people attending in person over the three-day event.

“BNI believes that collaboration is the key to creating broader benefits for society. By supporting activities that promote the arts, culture, and SMEs, we aim to help strengthen the foundation of Indonesia’s creative economy,” said Okki.

Support for the festival is part of BNI’s commitment to expanding its social and economic impact through collaboration with communities and businesses. This initiative is also in line with the spirit of “Swadharma Bhakti Nagara,” which BNI has upheld throughout its eight decades of service to Indonesia.

Through the MSI Arts Festival & Bazaar 2026, cultural preservation is not only expected to extend beyond performance events but also to create economic opportunities for artists, creative professionals, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), so that the benefits can be felt more widely and sustainably.
