Indonesian Badminton Team Continuing the Battle at Daihatsu Indonesia Master 2023

Jakarta, Saturday (28/1/2023) -- The battle of the Indonesian national badminton team at the Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2023 event was not in vain. Indonesia passed three of its representatives to the semifinals.

They are men's singles Jonatan Christie and Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, while from the men's doubles team Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin made it through to the semifinals which will take place at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Saturday (28/1/2023).

Men's doubles Leo/Daniel became the first Indonesian representative to step into the semifinals of the Indonesia Masters 2023. Leo/Daniel defeated Japanese doubles Keiichiro Matsui/Yoshinori Takeuchi.

Leo/Daniel's success was followed by Jonatan Christie in the men's singles sector. Jojo, his nickname, managed to beat Lakshya Sen from India. In the semifinals, Jojo will face Shi Yuqi from China. While the other men's singles, Chico qualified for the semifinals after defeating Brian Yang from Canada.

Okki continued that so far BNI's support for Badminton is shown by sponsoring the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI).

Support is provided for the education and development of athletes and infrastructure to continue to support the creation of more outstanding young athletes on the world stage.

In the future, BNI is committed to continuing to support the development and coaching of the badminton carried out by PBSI to continue to carve out the next world historic achievements.

The live broadcast schedule for three Indonesian representatives in the Indonesia Masters 2023 semifinals will take place on Saturday, 28 January 2023 at 11.00 WIB and will be broadcast live on iNews TV. In the semifinals,

Jonatan Christie will face Shi Yu Qi (China), Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo competes with Angus Ng Ka Long (Hong Kong), while from the men's doubles team who will compete are Leo Rolly Carnando / Daniel Marthin vs Takuro Hoki / Yugo Kobayashi (Japan, 2nd seed).
