BNI Moves Swiftly to Distribute Assistance for Sukabumi Disaster Victims

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR) program moved swiftly to help people affected by floods and landslides in Sukabumi, West Java.

This activity in the framework of BNI Berbagi was carried out on Saturday (14/12/2024), by distributing aid directly to refugee camps and the West Java SOEs Disaster Task Force.

“The floods and landslides in Sukabumi have caused considerable damage. We are sorry for this disaster and are committed to easing the burden on the victims,” BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said in a press statement.

On this occasion, BNI Region 04 Bandung distributed various assistance that was urgently needed by the community, such as basic necessities, clothing, baby diapers, and needs for the elderly. This assistance totaled more than IDR100 million and was distributed together with a number of SOEs as a form of concern for social and environmental conditions.

“We hope that this rapid response action can help accelerate the recovery of communities affected by the disaster,” Okki added.

BNI continues to be committed to running a TJSL program that focuses on three main pillars: Social, Economic, and Environmental, as part of support for sustainable development.

“Through the BNI Berbagi program, we strive to provide positive contributions and wider benefits to the community, in line with our role as part of BUMN,” Okki concluded.
