BNI Xpora Helps Indonesian Coffee SMEs Extend the South Korean and Taiwanese Export Markets

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) or BNI has once more shown its commitment in encouraging Indonesian coffee SMEs to go global. This commitment is fulfilled through BNI Xpora by enhancing the capacities of SMEs in order to extend the global market.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said, since its launch in August 2021, BNI Xpora has been a one-stop solution hub for Indonesian SMEs to export their products to numerous countries.

“BNI Xpora offers a comprehensive range of services, including training, mentoring, financing, and facilitating market access through events at home and abroad, to empower SMEs to compete internationally and contribute significantly to the Indonesian economy,” Okki said in a written statement.

Okki continued, many local SMEs that participated in the BNI Xpora program have grown to penetrate the global market. One of them is PT Atalya Makmuria Kreasindo (Ataly Coffee), an SME Xpora partner who can expand its market reach by gaining more access to BNI Xpora facilities, especially information related to buyers abroad.

“Through cooperation with BNI Xpora, Ataly Coffee has succeeded in expanding the international coffee market by shipping 12 tons of coffee green bean for 1 container to South Korea on December 23, 2024 and continued with 4 containers to South Korea and Taiwan in 2025. In addition, Ataly Coffee itself currently works with more than 100 farmers and 4-6 collectors around the Temanggung area as suppliers,” explained Ataly Coffee director Agustinus Ari Sadewo.

Ari explained that the BNI Xpora program not only aims to increase productivity, but also encourage the adoption of digital technology and expand markets to the global level. The hope is that more SMEs, such as Ataly Coffee, will join as BNI Xpora partners so that they can expand their business, not only domestically, but also to the international market.

“Thus, MSMEs can be more competitive, create jobs, and contribute to national economic growth,” Ari added.

In the meantime, BNI's concern for Indonesia's coffee industry is also shown through the Jelajah Kopi Khatulistiwa CSR Program. Through the program, which has been running since 2022, BNI has helped a number of farmers in five regions including North Sumatra, South Sumatra, West Java, East Java and Central Java. A total of 424 farmers have been helped by the JKK program throughout 2024.

With the help of BNI's numerous initiatives, it is hoped that Indonesia's industries would be able to flourish, compete globally, and contribute significantly to the national economy.
