Sobat Aksi Ramadan 2025, BNI Renovates Mosques and Provides Food Assistance

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI also participated in the Sobat Aksi Ramadan 2025 Program initiated by the Ministry of SOEs through various activities such as mosque renovations and food package assistance.

Sobat Aksi Ramadan 2025 was held in Sungai Sahurai Village, Barito Kuala, South Kalimantan, on Thursday (3/20/2025). A total of 35 BNI volunteers took part in the renovation of the Anwarul Fata Mosque in Sungai Sahurai Village and food package assistance for residents around the mosque.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said that this activity is part of BNI's concern for the social environment, especially in supporting local community worship activities during the month of Ramadan.

"The time of Ramadan is ideal for fostering unity. "BNI hopes to raise social awareness, strengthen positive relationships between BNI and the community, and cultivate a spirit of mutual cooperation through this social activity," Okki added.

On that occasion, Sobat Aksi Ramadan painted the walls of the mosque and the ablution area, as well as making the ceiling of the Anwarul Fata Mosque yard. Volunteers also provided food assistance as a means of sharing in the holy month which is also in line with President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita in improving community welfare.

"Through this program, BNI hopes to improve the comfort of worship and get closer to the surrounding community so as to have a real positive impact on their social life," added Okki.

BNI Banjarmasin Region 09 Leader Andy Yusdiman who attended the event explained that this program is a form of concern from BUMN including BNI to village residents and supports local residents' places of worship.

Sungai Sahurai Village Secretary Rahmadi expressed his appreciation for the activities carried out by BNI together with the Ministry of SOEs. He said that the assistance provided had a real impact on the local community.

"The mosque environment now looks cleaner and more comfortable after renovations were carried out on several parts of the building that were previously damaged. To make the mosque more recognizable to the general public, a new nameplate will also be put in place. With this improvement, the congregation can worship more comfortably. Hopefully, the presence of BUMN will provide more benefits to the community, especially for us who are in this area," he said.
