From Bekasi to Probolinggo, BNI Helps Infrastructure Improvement to Drive Economic Growth in Villages

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI continues to show its commitment in supporting national economic growth through active contributions in the infrastructure sector. Through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR) program, a number of road sections were successfully repaired and connected road access in villages in the Java region.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said, infrastructure development is one of the main focuses of BNI's TJSL program as a tangible manifestation of BNI's role as an agent of development.

“We believe that good road access will open up more economic, educational and health opportunities for the public. Therefore, infrastructure development is our priority in promoting equitable development,” Okki said.

BNI-funded development projects are spread across various regions in Java. From 2023 to 2025, a total of 10 sub-districts have received funding for road improvements, seven of which were allocated in 2025. Meanwhile, the realization of road improvements this year is in three sub-districts, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta.

Two points in Bekasi Regency, namely South Tambun and Pebayuran, received financial assistance for casting and repairing village roads. Meanwhile, in Probolinggo Regency, BNI provided assistance for paving and concrete rebates in three sub-regencies.

Through the road construction assistance, BNI hopes that its presence can have a real positive impact on the society. “We want to show that infrastructure development is not solely the government's responsibility. The business world, including BNI, also has a social responsibility in building a strong and equitable economic foundation,” Okki concluded.

BNI's steps are concrete evidence of the synergy between the business world and the government in accelerating development and improving the quality of life of people in the regions. Through the TJSL initiative, BNI not only focuses on business aspects, but also on social sustainability and inclusive development.
