(31/10/2025) - The support of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI for the development of national badminton athletes has once again yielded proud results. Indonesia successfully dominated the wondr by BNI Indonesia Masters 2025 event held at the PBSI Sports Hall in North Sumatra, Medan, on October 21-26, 2025, winning four of the five titles contested.
The victories came from the men's singles, men's doubles, mixed doubles, and women's doubles, with the final match between two Indonesian representatives in the last number ensuring Indonesia as the overall champion of this prestigious tournament.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said that these outstanding results are clear evidence of the success of consistent long-term development.
“This achievement proves the tangible results of continuous coaching. BNI is proud to be part of the process of nurturing young Indonesian badminton talents who excel on the international stage,” Okki said in a written statement.
In the men's singles, Muhammad Zaki Ubaidillah put on an impressive performance, defeating China's Dong Tian Yao in two straight games, 21-11 and 21-9. Zaki's aggressive play made it impossible for his opponent to keep up with his fast tempo.
Success also came from the mixed doubles. The young pair Marwan Faza/Aisyah Salsabila Putri Pranata managed to bounce back after falling behind in the first game, and closed out a fierce three-game match against Malaysian pair Jimmy Wong/Lai Pei Jing with a score of 16-21, 21-19, 21-3.
In the men's doubles, Raymond Indra and Nikolaus Joaquin had to fight hard before securing victory over South Korean duo Choi Sol Gyu and Goh V Shem. It was a close match that ended with a narrow score of 21-18, 13-21, 24-22.
Meanwhile, in the women's doubles, there was an all-Indonesian final between the senior pair Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti and the young duo Isyana Syahira Meida/Rinjani Kwinara Nastine. Apri/Fadia performed solidly and won two straight games 21-11, 21-17, demonstrating the strength of Indonesia's badminton player regeneration.
The only title that slipped from Indonesia's grasp came in the women's singles, where Japan's Nozomi Okuhara defeated India's Devika Sihag with a score of 21-11, 21-9.
According to Okki, the success of these young athletes cannot be separated from the close collaboration between athletes, coaches, federations, and supporting partners. “This victory is the result of hard work, discipline, and fighting spirit of the athletes, as well as support from coaches and support teams. This achievement motivates us to perform better at a higher level,” he said.
BNI affirms that it will continue its role as PBSI's main partner in coaching and regenerating young athletes, in line with the company's commitment to contribute to the development of national sports and bring pride to Indonesia on the international stage.
Through this ongoing support, BNI hopes that more future badminton talents will emerge who are not only accomplished, but also inspire Indonesia's younger generation to continue striving and achieving.
