BNI Supports National Food Security Through Participation in Agrinex Expo 2025

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the development of the national agro sector through participation in the Agrinex Expo 2025 event organized by Agrinex Indonesia together with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia in Hall D of the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta.

In the event which lasted for three days, Thursday–Saturday, 6–8 November 2025, BNI brought in four superior assisted MSMEs in the agribusiness sector, namely KSIP Agro, Pelita Desa, Agrotama, and Sayur Kendal.

BNI Commercial Banking Director Muhammad Iqbal said that BNI's participation in Agrinex Expo 2025 was a concrete manifestation of the company's commitment to encouraging green economic growth and supporting President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita, especially in efforts to strengthen national food security.

"BNI always supports the development of Indonesia's agricultural and agribusiness sectors through financing, mentoring and promotional facilitation for MSME players so they can upgrade and go global," said Iqbal in a written statement.

Iqbal continued, the MSMEs brought in by BNI are real examples of local agribusiness actors who have been able to penetrate the international market.

One of them is KSIP Agro, an agribusiness company under PT KSIP Solusi Mandiri which operates in the export sector of fresh fruit and vegetables from Indonesia and has penetrated the markets of Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Europe and the Middle East, and has ISO 22000 and Global GAP certificates as a guarantee of quality and food safety.

There is also Pelita Desa, an exporter company in the Indonesian natural resources sector which produces and exports various superior commodities such as cocopeat, briquettes, wood pellets, spices and coconut products. These products have succeeded in penetrating international markets, including the United States, Kuwait, Türkiye, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Mayotte.

Meanwhile, Agrotama and Sayur Kendal are BNI-fostered MSMEs which focus on developing horticultural products and fresh vegetables from local farmers. Both are actively carrying out innovation and market expansion to strengthen the supply chain for domestic agribusiness products.

BNI sees that the potential for growth in this sector is still very large. Until September 2025, BNI's total agricultural and forestry sector financing reached IDR 43.21 trillion with 35,352 debtors. In detail, the small business sector amounted to IDR 6.74 trillion with 34,896 debtors, the medium business sector IDR 9.68 trillion with 198 debtors, and the corporate sector IDR 26.79 trillion with 258 debtors.

In the future, BNI will continue to expand support for national agribusiness actors through various strategic initiatives such as the BNI Xpora program which focuses on developing export capacity, business digitalization, and access to financing for MSMEs to be able to compete in the global market.

"We are optimistic that the agribusiness sector will become one of the driving forces of the national economy, and BNI is committed to being a bank that is always present to support business actors in this sector," concluded Iqbal.
