BNI EDC Transaction Reaches IDR 50 Trillion

Jakarta, 3 November 2021 -- PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) held a Merchant Gathering as a form of appreciation to merchants who made BNI's EDC the main transaction facility. The event was held at the Pidari Lounge, Plataran City Forest, Jakarta, Wednesday (3 November 2021).

Present at the event were BNI’s Consumer Business Director, Corina Leyla Karnalies, BNI’s Digital Business SEVP, Rian Kaslan, as well as various BNI loyal merchants from various types of businesses such as Supermarkets, Restaurants, Hospitals and others. 

Corina said, it is hoped that thise activity can increase engagement between BNI and BNI merchants. As of September 2021, BNI has been trusted by more than 200 thousand merchants using BNI EDC and e-commerce to support cashless transactions with a total transaction volume of more than IDR 50 trillion. 

BNI continues to be committed to transactions to support merchant businesses through innovation and acceleration of digital transformation to provide fast, safe and convenient financial services. BNI's consumer banking products will continue to be agile in following customer behavior trends that are always changing rapidly.

"As a form of BNI's consistency in giving appreciation to Merchants, BNI also holds a Merchant Reward program in the coming year from January to June 2022. This appreciation will be given to the top 10 merchants with the highest transactions during the program period, where 5 National Merchant will get a Package Vacation to Paris and 5 Local/Retail Merchants will get Vacation Packages to Japan,” said Corina.

BNI has also provided a payment method using the Indonesian Standard Quick Response Code or QRIS. Not only through printed QRIS (static QRIS), but currently payments using QRIS can be made at BNI EDC (Dynamic QRIS) via BNI Mobile Banking QRIS Scan or other payment applications.

"In addition, BNI has also developed payments using the QRIS method through Open API technology. With this service, merchants or BNI Partners can use this technology to add payment methods with QRIS on websites, applications or integration through POS Merchant. Furthermore, there are many other BNI API digital service options that can be accessed on the page https://digitalservices.bni.co.id/,” concluded Corina.
