BNI-Fostered SMEs Export 27 Tons of Ribbon Fish to China

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI has once again proven its commitment to encouraging Indonesian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to penetrate the international market. One of them is through the release of fishery commodity exports by PT Satya Komira Trinadi Perkasa to China.

The company is now part of the Holding MSMEs for the fisheries sector, which was just officially launched on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. This export momentum is part of BNI's strategic steps as an agent of development in supporting the government's program to strengthen the national UMKM sector.

The exported commodities were frozen ribbon fish with a total volume reaching 27,000 kg or equivalent to 27 tons. The export value was recorded at USD 72,488.70 with the destination country being China, as one of the potential markets for Indonesian fishery products.

The export release was also witnessed directly by the MSME Minister Maman Abdurrahman and his staff, as well as BNI Executive Officers. This cross-sector collaboration is considered important in encouraging SMEs to move up a class and strengthen Indonesia's position in the global supply chain.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said that this export is a real result of BNI's ongoing support for SMEs. "We want to be a strategic partner that actively encourages SMEs to develop and penetrate the export market," said Okki in a written statement.

Furthermore, Okki added that this export is proof that the MSME clustering approach can provide concrete results. "With the right assistance, access to financing, and a strong network, our MSMEs are very capable of competing globally," he said.

As part of its long-term strategy, BNI also signed a Cooperation Agreement with the MSMEs Ministry. The signing, which took place on May 28, 2025 in Jakarta, aims to strengthen the cluster-based SME business partnership ecosystem.

"BNI not only provides banking services, but also strengthens the capabilities of MSMEs through integration in the digital and business ecosystem," said Okki. He hopes this step will be the beginning of more MSMEs successfully penetrating the export market.
